Participants of the First International Scientific-Practical Conference dedicated to prominent Azerbaijani thinker and scholar Sheikh Sayyid Yahya Bakuvi Shirvani, visited the Alley of Martyrs in the city of Aghdam as part of the 7th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Boards of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
The participants were informed about the history of the Alley of Martyrs.
The Alley of Martyrs in Aghdam is the burial place of Azerbaijani heroes who were martyred during the First Garabagh War, as well as some of the residents of the city who were killed during the Khojaly genocide. The graves were subjected to vandalism during the occupation.
The conference participants recited prayers for the souls of the martyrs.
