Baku, September 10, AZERTAC Orientation meetings with first-year students admitted to Baku Engineering University (BEU) this year are continuing. The latest meeting was held with students admitted to programs offered by the Faculty of Engineering.Speaking at the meeting, Faculty Dean Asif Guliyev congratulated the students on behalf of the university leadership and wished them success in their studies. The dean provided detailed information about BEU’s modern educational environment, the faculty’s activities, the teaching process, and the favorable conditions created for students. He advised the students to make effective use of their university years and continuously improve their academic performance.The meeting emphasized the importance of students’ academic development, active participation in the educational process, acquisition of modern knowledge and skills, and taking advantage of the opportunities and international projects offered by the university. New students were informed about BEU’s electronic management system, internal disciplinary rules, teaching infrastructure, and the technical facilities and laboratory infrastructure of the engineering and other laboratories, whose operations have recently been reorganized.Attention was also drawn to the conditions created for the effective organization of students’ academic and social life at BEU, which stands out for its extensive and modern campus infrastructure. Information was provided about opportunities for organizing students’ leisure time, supporting their personal development, and participating in various public and academic activities through student organizations and clubs. It was noted that students’ active participation in university life plays an important role in both their personal and professional development.At the end of the event, an English-language proficiency test was held for students admitted to the faculty’s English-language sections to place them in groups according to their level of proficiency and ensure more effective development of their English-language skills.
