Representatives of the Baku Engineering University (BEU) won a gold medal at the 12th International Exhibition of Inventions (IEI 2026), held in Guangzhou, People's Republic of China.
The university was represented at the international exhibition by BEU staff member Sevinj Aliyeva as a mentor, and Design specialty student Laman Safarova as a team member. The project presented by the team, which included BEU representatives, was highly praised by the international jury and awarded the gold medal.
At the exhibition, where projects and inventions in the fields of science, technology, and innovation were showcased, more than 3,700 inventions and innovative projects were displayed. More than 600 representatives of science, technology, and innovation took part in the exhibition.
At this prestigious event, the Azerbaijani delegation achieved a successful result, winning a total of 4 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze medal.
The gold medal awarded to the BEU staff member and student at the prestigious international exhibition is one of the results of the university's promotion of innovative and creative thinking, the engagement of students in international projects, and the attention given to their professional development.
This achievement is also significant in terms of showcasing the creative and innovative potential of BEU students at the international level, and presenting their ideas and projects in the global innovation environment.
