In the first half of 2026, ACG drilled and completed seven oil producer, three water injector and two gas injector wells, bp Azerbaijan has told AZERTAC.
One of the oil producer wells - C44, drilled from the West Azeri platform, marked a significant milestone for ACG as the first multilateral well ever drilled in the Caspian. The well was delivered safely and 30 days ahead of plan, with both drilling and completion phases significantly outperforming timelines.
The successful application of multilateral well technology in ACG represents an important step forward in efforts to maximize recovery and sustain long-term production from this mature asset.
At the end of June 2026, 150 oil wells were producing, while 51 were used for water and 11 for gas injection.
