Taleh Kazimov, Governor of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), met with the executives of the banks comprising the Presidium of the Azerbaijan Banks Association.
“During the meeting, we discussed the macroeconomic environment, the banking sector's performance in the first half of 2026, ongoing initiatives aimed at expanding financial inclusion, and the key challenges facing the sector. We also exchanged views on the strategic priorities of the banking sector and discussed key directions focused on further strengthening the regulatory and supervisory framework, enhancing the resilience and sustainability of the banking sector,” the CBA Chairman said on X.
