Baku, July 29, AZERTAC
Pakistan's security forces killed 32 militants during intelligence-based operations in the country's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and southwestern Balochistan provinces over the past 24 hours, Xinhua reported citing the military on Wednesday.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 24 militants were killed in multiple intelligence-based area sanitization and targeted operations carried out overnight by security forces in Khyber district, the military's media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said in a statement.
In separate intelligence-based operations in Nushki district of the southwestern Balochistan province, security forces killed eight more militants following what the military described as an intense exchange of fire.
The military said weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices were recovered and destroyed during the operations.
