


Share of EU countries in Azerbaijan’s total exports exceeds 49 percent

In the first six months of the current year, Azerbaijan exported $8.0438 billion worth of goods to European Union countries, representing an 11% decline ($994.93 million) compared to the same period last year.
Data released by the State Customs Committee indicates that imports from European Union member states to Azerbaijan also decreased, falling 9.91% ($141.06 million) year-on-year to stand at $1.2817 billion.
Trade with the bloc remained a central component of national foreign commerce, with the EU accounting for 49.29% of Azerbaijan's total exports and 15.36% of its overall imports during the reporting period.
