On the occasion of the 151st anniversary of the founding of the National Press on July 22, the leadership and staff of the Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC), the Media Development Agency, and the Azerbaijan Press Council, visited the grave of Hasan bey Zardabi - the founder of the national press in Azerbaijan, publisher and editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Akinchi,” and an outstanding public figure.
They paid tribute by laying a wreath and flowers at his grave.
In his remarks, Rashad Majid, Chairman of the Press Council, provided a comprehensive overview of the development of Azerbaijan’s national press, highlighting National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s care and attention to fostering the media sector in the country, which is being successfully continued under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
