Baku, July 22, AZERTAC “The Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center (ACC) makes a significant contribution to training highly qualified cybersecurity specialists and developing local technological solutions in the country by continuously expanding its cooperation with educational institutions, international partners, and the innovation ecosystem,” said Farid Osmanov, Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan's Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), while addressing the 7th graduation ceremony of the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center (ACC).He stated that within the framework of the ACC's current cooperation with higher education institutions, 12 different subjects are taught across seven universities in the country. This collaboration helps integrate modern cybersecurity knowledge into university curricula, train students in line with international standards, and foster human capital development.Farid Osmanov noted that alongside education, the ACC provides significant support to the development of the local innovation ecosystem: "To date, support has been provided for the development of seven cybersecurity products. At the same time, four hackathons have been organized at the national level, as well as 12 hackathons among graduates in collaboration with the prestigious Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. More than 70 workshops and masterclasses have been conducted so far, and preparation programs for international cybersecurity competitions have been organized. These initiatives contribute significantly to developing the practical skills of young people, creating innovative solutions, uncovering new talent, and building an innovation culture in the country."He also noted that the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center has launched a new partnership under a memorandum of understanding signed with OffSec, an international cybersecurity training and certification organization.
