


Azerbaijan Army’s Chief of General Staff visits Belarus

The First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, together with the delegation led by him, visited a number of military facilities, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.
The Azerbaijani delegation visited an air base of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, as well as a separate airborne assault brigade. During the visits, the delegation was briefed on the military and special-purpose equipment operated by the Special Operations Forces and the electronic warfare units.
Pursuant to the visit program, Colonel General Karim Valiyev visited the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Application and Training Center, as well as an enterprise of the State Military-Industrial Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
Following the briefing on the Center’s activities, the delegation was informed about the training of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) operators and the simulators used in their training.
As part of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation also visited the bust of Hero of the Soviet Union Najafgulu Rafiyev in Minsk. The delegation laid a wreath at the monument, paying tribute to his memory.
