


Khojaly genocide victims commemorated in Georgian city of Rustavi

A commemorative event marking the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide was held at the Rustavi Education and Culture Center.
First, participants honored the memory of the Khojaly victims with a minute of silence.
Raida Darziyeva, the head of the centre, provided insight into the Khojaly genocide, one of the bloodiest tragedies of the 20th century.
She described the events of that terrible night as the bloodiest action carried out by Russia’s 366th Regiment together with atrocious Dashnaks.
The event concluded with the screening of a short film dedicated to the tragedy.
The event was attended by Rustavi city intellectuals, parents, teachers, and students.
