Greatest opera legend Plácido Domingo to perform at Heydar Aliyev Center

Legendary Spanish tenor and conductor Plácido Domingo will perform at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku on November 14.
Plácido Domingo’s concert at the Heydar Aliyev Center promises to deliver unforgettable moments, including his performance of a well-known Azerbaijani song.
For more than 60 years, Maestro Plácido Domingo has captivated audiences worldwide with his distinctive and emotionally powerful voice. His extraordinary repertoire includes more than 150 roles, with over 4,000 career performances.
He has graced the stages of all the world’s major opera houses and holds an unparalleled discography of over 100 complete operas, as well as numerous albums of arias, duets, and crossover projects. His recordings have earned him 12 Grammy Awards, including three Latin Grammys. Additionally, Domingo has appeared in more than fifty music videos, winning two Emmy Awards. His television broadcast of Tosca, filmed on the original locations in Rome, reached more than one billion viewers across 117 countries. He also starred in three opera films: Carmen, La Traviata, and Otello.
Plácido Domingo has received numerous international honors and holds several honorary doctorates from prestigious universities, including Salamanca, Harvard, and Oxford. In 2021, he was named Honorary Ambassador of the World Heritage of Spain.
Domingo made his Salzburg Festival debut in 1975 in the title role of Don Carlo and has since performed there in many opera productions and concerts. His recent appearances include roles such as Count di Luna (2014), Athanaël (2016), Francesco Foscari (2017), Zurga in Les Pêcheurs de Perles (2018), Miller (2019), and gala concerts Carmencita & Friends (2022) and Hommage Daniel Barenboim (2023).
