Azerbaijan Army conducts activities on cybersecurity and state secrets protection

Comprehensive measures to counter modern threats are implemented in line with the Ministry of Defense’s annual action plan, the ministry told AZERTAC.
In order to ensure cybersecurity, protect state secrets, improve digital literacy, and ensure information security in the Azerbaijan Army, the relevant bodies of the Ministry regularly carry out preventive measures throughout the year across main departments, departments, services and special educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense, as well as military units.
The measures include the continuous improvement of regulatory legal documents and their communication to military personnel to prevent any potential negative situations.
As part of the efforts, the relevant bodies of the Ministry of Defense organize regular training sessions, deliver briefings, hold awareness-raising discussions with servicemen, and prepares and distributes informative booklets on the subject.
During the events, military personnel are briefed on the provisions of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On State Secrets", methods for combating cyber threats, safe use of internet resources, principles of cyber hygiene, and techniques for defense against cyberattacks. Emphasis is also placed on the importance of ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of information in maintaining information security.
Servicemen's questions are also addressed during these sessions, the ministry added.
