Azerbaijan’s Finance Minister meets with ECO Secretary General

“Azerbaijan attaches great importance to cooperation with the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and its member countries and aims to expand collaboration across all sectors,” Minister of Finance Sahil Babayev said during a meeting with ECO Secretary General Asad Majeed Khan.
Asad Majeed Khan expressed appreciation for Azerbaijan’s active role within the ECO and its initiatives to enhance the organization's activities.
The meeting highlighted the ECO’s critical role in strengthening cooperation among member states in trade, transport, finance, and tourism. They emphasized the importance of organizing business forums involving entrepreneurs from member countries.
Discussions also covered the significance of enhancing the role of the ECO Trade and Development Bank, with both sides agreeing that the bank’s active participation in project financing would contribute to regional trade, transport connectivity, and overall economic development.
