Local elections to be eld in the North after more than yearlong delay due to war

The elections for local authorities in the North will be held, according to The Press Service of Israel (TPS-IL).
These elections were delayed for more than one year dur to the war and the security situation in the north.
Approximately 70,058 eligible voters will be able to vote for the elected representatives in the local authorities in the north.
In Kiryat Shmona, 25,990 people will be eligible to vote for the city offices and for the Shlomi Local Council.
In the Upper Galilee, Mevot Hermon, Ma’ale Yosef and Merom HaGalil regional councils and in the two local councils in the Asher district – Betzet and Aramsha – 44,068 people will be eligible to vote.
Residents will have access to 212 polling stations, including 129 polling stations, 54 of which are accessible, which will be placed throughout the northern communities where the elections are being held, and 83 special polling stations will be placed nationwide from the north to Eilat for those eligible to vote who have not returned to their homes.
