Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan warmly welcomed in Pakistan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and First Lady Emine Erdogan were warmly welcomed by Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and cabinet members on their arrival in Capital Islamabad.
President Erdoğan’s aircraft was escorted by Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jets after entering Pakistan's airspace, and he was given a 21 Gun Salute, followed by performance by a military band and reception by children waving Pakistan and Türkiye flags at the Nur Khan Airbase. First Lady of Pakistan, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, was also present on the occasion.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Islamabad on a two-day official visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. His visit includes high-level engagements aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Türkiye. The airbase and the route of the Turkish President’s motorcade were decorated with Pakistani and Turkish flags.
President of Turkiye is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising Ministers, senior government officials and corporate leaders. During his visit, the Turkish president will co-chair the seventh meeting of the Pakistan-Turkiye High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council alongside the Pakistani Prime Minister.
The meeting will conclude with a joint declaration and many agreements. Memorandums of Understanding between the two countries are expected to be signed after the parleys. The two leaders will also address a joint press conference.
The Turkish President will hold separate meetings with the Prime Minister and his Pakistani Counterpart. He will address the Pakistan-Turkiye Business and Investment Forum, which will be attended by leading investors, companies, and businessmen from both countries.
