World Bank: Per capita income in Azerbaijan surged 60 times in 30 years

“Per capita income in Azerbaijan surged 60 times in 30 years,” said Roland Pryce, World Bank (WB) regional director for the South Caucasus at the presentation of the World Bank's World Development Report (WDR) in Baku.
Pryce highlighted that in 1993, Azerbaijan’s per capita income was just $110. “By 2023, the country had transformed into a middle-income economy, with per capita income soaring to $6,660—60 times higher. Azerbaijan successfully utilized its natural resources to achieve these results,” she emphasized.
