Azerbaijan, Caribbean Community discuss cooperation

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Cuba Ruslan Rzayev presented his letter of credence as the country’s Plenipotentiary Representative to the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) to Secretary General Carla Barnett.
During the meeting, the discussions revolved around the prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and CARICOM.
The sides lauded the active participation of the CARICOM’s Secretary General and high-level delegations from member states in COP29, the bilateral meetings held within the framework of the event, as well as the CARICOM’s dedicated pavilion that drew visitors from across the globe.
The discussions highlighted Azerbaijan’s ongoing humanitarian assistance to small island states, including CARICOM members. The emphasis was also placed on promoting bilateral collaboration across various domains, with CARICOM praising Azerbaijan’s engagement and reaffirming its readiness to support enhanced cooperation, both directly with CARICOM and bilaterally with its member states.
