Robotic sea turtle could soon be swimming in ocean
Baku, January 23, AZERTAC
At CES 2025, Chinese company Beatbot has presented its bio-inspired Amphibious RoboTurtle, according to Meteofor. This autonomous robot is designed for ecological research, environmental monitoring, and disaster response.
The RoboTurtle is equipped with a wide range of technologies, including water sampling equipment, a GPS module, ultrasonic sensors, and AI-enabled cameras. The cameras allow the robot to analyze environmental changes, find and follow marine animals.
The robot swims by quietly flapping its bionic legs, making it less visible and disruptive to the marine ecosystem compared to devices with propellers. The RoboTurtle also has solar panels on its back, allowing it to recharge while swimming. Satellite communication is used to transmit data and receive new commands.
