2025 Ski Mountaineering World Cup wraps up at Shahdag

The last action-packed day of the 2025 ISMF Ski Mountaineering World Cup at Shahdag Tourism Complex saw the Individual races of both male and female skiers.
In the women’s program, France’s Axelle Gachet-Mollaret led the race, crossing the finish line just ahead of her countryman Emily Harrop who finished as runner-up. Austrian Johanna Hiemer finished 3rd.
In the men’s event, Swedish Remi Bonnet emerged victorious after making a fierce battle for the first place. France’s Samuel Equy and Thibault Anselmet shared 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.
During the award ceremony, Jordi Canals Fontan, Secretary General of the International Ski Mountaineering Federation, expressed his gratitude to Fuad Naghiyev, President of the Azerbaijan Winter Sports Federation, for the excellent organization of the Ski Mountaineering World Cup and warm hospitality.
The 2025 ISMF Ski Mountaineering World Cup, which serves as a qualifier for the 2026 Winter Olympics, where ski mountaineering will debut as an official event, brought together about 130 athletes from 26 countries.
