In accordance with the training plan for 2024, the Azerbaijan Air Force held a volleyball championship among servicemen, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.
The opening and closing ceremonies of the championship commenced with commemorating the bright memory of National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan accompanied by military orchestras was performed.
Speakers congratulated the winning teams and wished them success in their future military service. They also emphasized the importance of holding such sports events to maintain a high level of physical fitness of military personnel.
The teams representing various military units of the Air Force showed a high level of skills and will to win.
According to the results of the championship, the winning teams were awarded.
