Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia discuss cooperation opportunities in environment

Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member, and Climate Envoy, met with Mukhtar Babayev, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources and COP29 President, on the sidelines of the 16th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), held in Riyadh.
The two officials discussed potential cooperation on environmental issues, including climate change, combating desertification, and other key topics on the conference agenda.
