Icherisheher and Gala Reserve attract over 12,000 visitors during COP29

During COP29, more than 12,000 local and international tourists visited museums, cultural centers, and historical sites within Icherisheher (Inner City) and the Gala State Historical-Ethnographic Reserve.
According to the “Icherisheher” State Historical-Architectural Reserve Administration, Russian, Chinese, and Indian nationals constituted the majority of international visitors.
Notable attractions included the Maiden Tower, the Shirvanshahs’ Palace, the Sirataghli Religious-Architectural Complex, Baylar Mosque, and the Underground Bath-House— all listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
In the Gala Reserve, visitors explored ancient Absheron monuments, the “From Waste to Art” Museum, and the "Gurama" exhibition.
