Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister meets with President of OPEC Fund for International Development

Ali Asadov, Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister, met with Abdulhamid Alkhalifa, President of the OPEC Fund for International Development.
During the meeting, the sides hailed the high-level organization of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Baku.
PM Ali Asadov underlined that despite the fact that Azerbaijan is an oil-exporting country, it has declared the green transition as a priority area long before its COP29 Presidency and made significant contributions to combating climate change.
The meeting also saw discussions on reducing environmental damage in traditional energy area.
