Azerbaijan House opens in Prague

The Azerbaijan House has been opened in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.
The event started with the performance of the National Anthems of Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic. The participants honoured memory of Azerbaijani martyrs, who gave their lives for the country’s territorial integrity by observing a minute of silence.
Furthermore, Leyla Begim Jafarova, Coordinator of the Coordinating Council of Eastern European Azerbaijanis, Chairwoman of "Natavan" Society, and Head of the Azerbaijan House, provided an overview of the activities of the society and Azerbaijani community in the Czech Republic.
Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Fuad Muradov congratulated Azerbaijanis on the occasion of the opening of the Azerbaijan House in Prague, describing this fact as a clear example of care of the Azerbaijani state and President Ilham Aliyev for the compatriots living abroad.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to the Czech Republic Adish Mammadov described the opening of the Azerbaijan House as a landmark event, noting that the Azerbaijanis living here have a great opportunity to promote the country abroad.
In his remarks, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Former Czech Ambassador to Azerbaijan Milan Ekert congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on November 8 - Victory Day.
Other speakers also highlighted the role of the Azerbaijan House in developing relations between the two countries, describing it as a symbol of the unity of Azerbaijani compatriots.
The Azerbaijan House will also feature a cultural section and a weekend school.
