European Union Delegation opens “Water Unites Us All” photo exhibition
Baku, November 6, AZERTAC
The European Union (EU) Delegation to Azerbaijan, in partnership with the Embassies of the EU Member States, will organize the “Water Unites Us All” photo exhibition as part of the fifth edition of the “FantazEU” Cultural Heritage Festival. The theme of the exhibition echoes one of the initiatives put forward by Azerbaijan for the largest COP29 conference that the country will host shortly.
The Embassies of Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czechia, France, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Sweden provided photos depicting fascinating images of water in nature, like waterfalls and rivers and amazing fountains that beautify European cities.
“This is a unique exhibition that combines arts and ecology. Through thrilling photos of water from the EU Member State countries, we want to demonstrate the importance of water resources as the driving force of life. Water is an essential resource for people and nature and for regulating the climate. It is also crucial for the economy, agriculture, and energy production. The organization of this kind of exhibition once again emphasizes the role of water and the need for its protection on the eve of COP29 in Baku,” said EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan Peter Michalko.
The “Water Unites Us All” photo exhibition will be open to the public free of charge from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM from November 7 to 10 at the “Fabrica” Gallery, 154B Nizami Street (near Landmark Business Center).
