Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry hosts meeting with several NGO heads

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense hosted a meeting with the heads several NGOs dealing with families of martyrs, war veterans, as well as experts and bloggers engaged in military-related matters, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.
In attendance were officials from the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, the Agency for State Support to NGOs, and the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation.
The meeting commenced with a solemn tribute to the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
In his opening remarks, Chief of the Main Department for Personnel, Major General Mushfig Mammadov emphasized that the meeting with representatives of civil society was organized in alignment with the Communication Strategy of the Ministry of Defense, formally approved by Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov. Major General M.Mammadov provided a comprehensive overview of the efforts undertaken thus far and outlined forthcoming tasks related to the effective implementation of the strategy's provisions.
The Chief of the Main Department highlighted that the glorious victory gained in the Patriotic War under the leadership of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, is inscribed in golden letters in history.
Head of the Sector for Work with NGOs of the Department for Work with NGOs and Communication of the Administration of the President Tural Aliyev emphasized the importance of holding the meeting in such format and organizing direct discussions, as well as highlighted the relevant expectations.
At the meeting, officials of relevant government authorities answered questions from representatives of NGOs, experts and bloggers, considered various proposals and made relevant remarks.
During the discussions, it was emphasized that today the unity of the state-people-army under the leadership of President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev is strong and indestructible and that the historic victory elevated Azerbaijan to a new stage of development.
Such meetings will continue to be organized in the future.
