Kuwait`s Deputy Minister: We must work together to tackle climate crisis
Baku, November 5, AZERTAC
“In Islam, the protection of humanity and the environment is a responsibility given to all people. For this reason, we must work together to combat climate change,” said Bader Al-Mutairi, Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, during the plenary session of the Global Summit of Religious Leaders in Baku.
Al-Mutairi highlighted Kuwait’s extensive efforts to address climate challenges and promote green energy usage, noting: “Friendly Azerbaijan is one of the exemplary countries in this area. Here, members of world’s major religions came together to protect Earth. Climate change is now everyone’s global pressing issue, despite the interfaith diversity. I believe that climate education and awareness initiatives should be incorporated into education.”
