Chisinau Mayor informed about Azerbaijan’s preparations for COP29
Chisinau, November 2, AZERTAC
“The Azerbaijani community living in Moldova contributes to the development of Chisinau,” said Chisinau Mayor Ion Ceban as he met with Chairman of the Congress of Azerbaijanis of Moldova Elchin Bayramov.
The mayor described the Azerbaijani community in Moldova as a bridge enhancing the cooperation between Baku and Chisinau.
Bayramov highlighted the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), set to take place in Baku. He noted that COP29 would contribute to the fight against climate change worldwide. The head of the diaspora underlined that the Azerbaijani community intends to arrange a tree-planting campaign in Chisinau ahead of this remarkable event.
During the meeting, the sides agreed to celebrate the Victory Day by the Azerbaijani diaspora, as well as host events related to COP29.
