Speaker of Albanian Parliament informed about Parliamentary Conference to be held in Baku

During her working visit to the Swiss Confederation, Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Parliament, met with her Albanian counterpart, Elisa Spiropali.
The sides noted that Azerbaijan and Albania are friendly and partner countries, emphasizing the ample opportunities for further expanding cooperation in economic, trade, tourism, and other fields. They also mentioned that both Azerbaijani and Albanian parliaments aim to contribute to the enhancement of cooperation between the two countries in these areas.
During the meeting, the speakers praised the joint activities and mutual support between their parliaments within international parliamentary organizations. They underscored that expanding relations between parliamentary committees and friendship groups would further deepen the ties between the legislative bodies of both countries.
Speaker Sahiba Gafarova briefed Elisa Spiropali on the Baku-hosted Parliamentary Conference scheduled for November this year, which will take place on the margins of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29).
