SOCAR President: Development of science requires appropriate ecosystem
Baku, October 8, AZERTAC
“The development of science requires an appropriate ecosystem,” said SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf as he addressed the Education Development Forum held under the theme "From Partnership to Progress."
He noted that SOCAR is implementing an internship program in collaboration with five higher education institutions.
"Our cooperation with universities focuses on personnel training. Technologies in any field will be completely different in 5 or 10 years. We must have these technologies to be able to compete with other countries,” he added.
“There should be a necessary platform for improving science in the field of intellectual property. Increasing the reputation of science is also a very important point. Young people interested in science should understand that engaging in scientific work and owning patents can also generate income. Human capital is essential for science," Rovshan Najaf underlined.
