Azerbaijan, Colombia discuss facilitating citizens` reciprocal visits

The Foreign Ministries of Azerbaijan and Colombia conducted their first consular consultations via video conference.
The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Emil Safarov, Head of the Consular Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while Patricia Cortes Ortiz, Head of the European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed the Colombian delegation.
During the consular consultations, the sides exchanged views on the current state and future prospects of consular cooperation, including the possibility of signing new bilateral agreements.
The discussions also covered the protection of citizens’ rights and freedoms, cooperation in the areas of migration and internal affairs, the legalization or digitalization of official documents with apostille marks, and the facilitation of reciprocal visits by citizens from both countries.
