Solemn military oath-taking ceremonies for new cadets of special educational institutions were held in Baku and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The events were attended by the leadership and personnel of the National Defense University, representatives of the Defense Ministry, servicemen, teachers, parents, and other guests. During the ceremonies, battle flags were ceremonially brought to the parade ground, accompanied by a military orchestra.
A moment of silence was observed in honor of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the Shehids (Martyrs) who gave their lives for the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. This was followed by the performance of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan by a military orchestra.
Speakers at the event congratulated the cadets and their families on this significant day, encouraging the cadets to become honorable servicemen, remain loyal to their Motherland and their oath, and maintain discipline in their military service.
The cadets then took the solemn oath of loyalty to the Motherland and marched in front of the grandstand. After the ceremony, parents were given the opportunity to tour the facilities, learning about the training process and living conditions at the military educational institutions.
