Azerbaijani movie to be screened at Kazan International Film Festival 2024

The feature film “When the stadiums are silent,” directed and written by Ali-Sattar Guliyev, will be screened at the 20th Kazan International Film Festival “Altyn Minbar,” set to take place in Kazan, the Republic of Tatarstan.
The film, dedicated to the life and career of Gurban Gurbanov, head coach of Azerbaijan's FC Qarabag, highlights his journey from the 1980s, through his football career, to his coaching achievements, including leading the team to the UEFA Champions League group stage.
The 20th Kazan International Film Festival “Altyn Minbar” is a competition featuring feature films, documentaries, and animated films that reflect universal spiritual and moral values, cultural traditions, and promote the ideas of peace, tolerance, and humanism, irrespective of national and confessional affiliation. The festival’s motto is “Through the dialogue of cultures to the culture of dialogue”.
Films from various countries including Russia, Iran, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Greece, Türkiye, UAE, Singapore, Tajikistan, India, Estonia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Iraq, Georgia, Armenia, Latvia, Belarus, France, Australia, the USA, Canada, Brazil, Palestine, and Syria will be featured.
The festival aims to fulfil educational, aesthetic, and spiritual missions, while positively contributing to the development of Russian culture.
