Azerbaijan, IFC discuss cooperation

Samad Bashirli, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economy met with Ines Rocha, Regional Director of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for Europe.
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister pointed out that Azerbaijan’s economic reforms had been supported by international financial institutions.
According to him, the expansion of Azerbaijan's cooperation with the IFC is important to promote progressive practices and innovations in the country.
He also briefed the Rocha on the socio-economic development priorities of Azerbaijan, favorable business climate and opportunities created for investors.
Discussions also revolved around the COP29, public-private partnership, cooperation on drinking water production projects through seawater desalination and IFC’s involvement in potential projects.
