Azerbaijani and Uzbek artists receive honorary titles in Tashkent

As previously reported, by the order of President Ilham Aliyev dated July 22, 2024, Farrukh Zakirov, the renowned Uzbek pop singer, composer, and actor, was awarded the honorary title of “People's Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan.” On August 6, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev conferred the honorary title of "People's Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan” upon Polad Bulbuloglu, the distinguished Azerbaijani composer and singer.
During President Ilham Aliyev’s state visit to Uzbekistan, both artists were formally presented with their honorary titles at a ceremony held at the Palace of Forums in Tashkent.
The event was attended by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture Adil Karimli, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov, and notable artists from both nations.
Minister Adil Karimli read the order awarding Farrukh Zakirov, while a representative from the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan highlighted President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s order honoring Polad Bulbuloglu.
The artists were presented with their badges and certificates of honorary titles.
Both Farrukh Zakirov and Polad Bulbuloglu expressed their gratitude to the leaders of the friendly nations for the esteemed recognition of their contributions to the arts.
