Indonesian parliamentary delegation visits Milli Majlis

Farid Hajiyev, Head of the Azerbaijani Parliament’s Apparatus (Milli Majlis) met with the visiting delegation headed by Nasril Bahar, the deputy chairman of the Administrative Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives of the Indonesian Parliament.
During the meeting, the Head of the Apparatus highlighted the history of relations between the two countries and the future prospects of these ties.
Farid Hajiyev informed the guests about the structure of the Milli Majlis, the legislative process, the representation of the parties, as well as works done in the field of strengthening of the parliamentary diplomacy.
He noted that Azerbaijan is interested in developing inter-parliamentary relations with Indonesia, as well as in other domains.
The sides emphasized the importance of the development of the bilateral relations between the chairpersons of the parliaments, reciprocal visits of the members of working groups, as well as the negotiations and meetings held.
They hailed the useful cooperation of the two countries’ parliaments in the international organizations.
Emphasizing the friendship relations between the two countries, Nasril Bahar stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries’ legislative authorities, mutual exchange of experience and regular visits.
The guests then viewed “ Victory’s corner” in the foyer of the administrative building.
