“As of now, 18,467 local observers have been accredited to monitor the snap parliamentary elections scheduled for September 1, 2024,” Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission (CEC) announced in a meeting on Monday.
“Of these observers, 5,588 people were registered by CEC and another 12,879 by the constituency election commissions,” the CEC Chairman said.
According to him, 101 people from 9 international organizations and 27 countries have been accredited to observe the elections.
