“1,508 people have submitted applications to participate in the Azerbaijani snap parliamentary elections scheduled for September 1, with 1,462 candidacies confirmed by the Central Election Commission,” Mazahir Panahov, CEC Chairman, announced in a meeting Saturday.
“The CEC has registered 881 candidacies for parliamentary seats so far,” Panahov noted.
“1,191 candidacies have already returned their signature sheets,” he added.
