Ibrahimovic’s son signs first professional contract with Milan
Baku, July 18, AZERTAC
Maximilian Ibrahimovic, the son of former Sweden striker Zlatan, has signed his first professional contract with Milan, according to OneFootball.
The ex-Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United forward hung up his boots last year, following the end of the 2022-23 season, and soon moved into a backroom role with the Rossoneri, working as an advisor to owners RedBird.
Ibrahimovic is helping to play a role in the new Milan project under Paulo Fonseca and pushed for the club to set up an Under-23 squad in Serie C, following in the footsteps of Juventus and Atalanta. He’s also working closely with Geoffrey Moncada and Giorgio Furlani in the transfer market.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Maximilian Ibrahimovic has now put pen to paper on his first professional contract with Milan, lasting to June 2027, and will now be slotted into their new ‘Futuro’ squad in Serie C.
The 17-year-old left winger scored three goals across 29 appearances for the Under-18 squad in the 2023-24 season.
