Azerbaijani judoka Zelym Kotsoiev crowned World Champion in Abu-Dhabi

Azerbaijani judoka Zelym Kotsoiev was crowned the World Champion following a remarkable performance at the World Championships held in Abu Dhabi, the UAE.
Katsoiev, 25, defeated Canadian Shady El Nahas in the men’s 100kg weight class final bout.
He has become the second Azerbaijani World Champion to claim the gold medal following Hidayat Heydarov’s triumph over Japanese Tatsuki Ishihara.
The tournament will run until May 24.
