Azerbaijan, Bangladesh discuss cooperation

As part of his working visit to Gambia, Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with his Bangladeshi counterpart, Hasan Mahmud. During the meeting, the ministers noted that high-level reciprocal visits, political dialogue, and inter-institutional contacts play a key role in promoting cooperation. They emphasized the importance of strengthening both bilateral and multilateral partnerships to address existing threats and challenges in the modern world.
Highlighting cooperation in international organizations, the two expressed confidence for furthering partnership across all domains, including economic, humanitarian, and social areas. The top diplomats also discussed opportunities for cooperation in the fields of transport, healthcare, science, education, and culture.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that Azerbaijan’s hosting the COP29 created favorable opportunity for new cooperation areas.
They also exchanged views on other issues of mutual concern.
