Azerbaijani swimmers shine with nine medals in Russia

Azerbaijani swimmers have proved their mettle by winning nine medals, including two golds, in the Rector’s Cup competition held in Kazan, Russia, at the 50m Burevestnik Swimming Pool.
Abdurrahman Rustamov achieved success by triumphing in both the men’s 200m and 50m individual butterfly races. Rustamov also claimed silver medals in both the men’s 100m butterfly and 200m mixed and freestyle races.
Fatima Alkaramova clinched a silver medal in the women’s 200m individual freestyle event, and finished 3rd both in the 100m freestyle and mixed races. Rashad Alguliyev earned bronze medal in the men’s mixed 200m medley.
