Permanent representatives to UN invited to COP29

Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the United Nations Yashar Aliyev handed over to his colleagues the letters of invitation to the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) addressed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to the leaders of a number of countries, the Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the UN told AZERTAC.
“As COP29 preparations are fully under way, the invitation letters of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan addressed to the Heads of State and Government of El Salvador, Libya, Micronesia, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Palau, Senegal, Seychelles, Syria, Tuvalu, Vanuatu and Venezuela were conveyed by the Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the distinguished colleagues accredited at the United Nations Headquarters UN in New York,” the statement said.
