ANAMA employee injured in landmine blast in Aghdam district

On April 2, an employee of the Azerbaijan’s Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) Aliyev Khayyam Gambar, born in 1987, stepped on a landmine in the territory of the village of Sarijali in the Aghdam district, the District prosecutor's office told AZERTAC.
The ANAMA employee, who was conducting demining operations in the area, sustained an injury and the equipment he used was damaged.
The prosecutor's office inspected the scene and took other necessary procedural actions.
An investigation is underway at the Aghdam district prosecutor's office.
