Chisinau, April 1, AZERTAC
The Ministry of Defense has announced a multinational exercise, “JCET 2024”, where National Army soldiers will train alongside counterparts from Romania and the United States of America, according to Moldova`s Defense Ministry.
Scheduled for April 1-19, the exercise will take place at National Army training centres. Its objectives are joint training, knowledge exchange between Moldovan, Romanian, and American special forces, and enhancing interoperability among participants. This year's iteration will also include representatives from the State Protection and Security Service and the "Pantera" Special Purpose Detachment.
The exercise scenario involves parachute jumps, day and night advanced combat shooting exercises, and field training with specific missions.
The Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) program aligns with the National Army's 2024 training plan. Notably, soldiers from the National Army's "Fulger" (Lightning) Special Purpose Battalion have participated in JCET since its inception in 2009.
The Ministry of Defense advises that military equipment will be transported from units to National Army training grounds during the exercise period.
