The events held in the Azerbaijan Army in pursuance of the Order of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on declaring 2024 as the “Green World Solidarity Year” in Azerbaijan, continue. According to the instructions of Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, a series of tree-planting campaigns were held in the territories of military units stationed in various regions, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.
Various types of trees and flower bushes were planted and landscaping works were carried out during the campaigns held to contribute to nature conservation, protect environmental conditions, promote ecological balance restoration and enrich the atmosphere with oxygen, as well as attract public attention to the importance of landscaping work.
