European parliamentarian's biased report against Azerbaijan removed from EuroNest session agenda

Baku, March 20, AZERTAC

The 11th ordinary session of the EuroNest Parliamentary Assembly has today kicked off in Brussels, the Kingdom of Belgium.

Chairman of Azerbaijan's Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, and EntrepreneurshipTahir Mirkishili, MPs Soltan Mammadov, Vugar Bayramov, Iltizam Yusifov, Razi Nurullayev and Nurlan Hasanov are representing the country at the session.

Moreover, the Azerbaijani delegation protested the biased report by a member of the European Parliament at the meeting of the EuroNest Committee on Energy Security. As meetings with the European parliamentarians to find a compromise option yielded no results, the report was excluded from the agenda.

Speaking at the meeting, Azerbaijani MPs Vugar Bayramov, Iltizam Yusifov and Razi Nurullayev, highlighted Azerbaijan's role in energy security and the construction of new energy infrastructures, the importance of the transition to green energy, as well as the contribution of the upcoming COP29 conference to the world.

As suggested by Azerbaijan, the theme of the report for the next meeting was designated as "The paradigm of interconnected energy system challenges towards a more sustainable future in the Eastern Partnership countries."
