Under the Order of President Ilham Aliyev dated July 17, 2023, Azerbaijan has dispatched the last batch of electrical equipment from the Sumgayit Technology Park to provide humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine.
The cargo supplied by the Ministry of Energy includes more than 670,000 meters of electric cables and wires, as well as 26 transformers and set of transformer room. The convoy of 25 trucks has been sent to strengthen energy resilience in the war-affected areas in Ukraine.
The prior shipments of humanitarian aid totaling $ 7.6 million were sent to Ukraine on October 30, November 21, December 8, 2023 and January 11, 2024 respectively.
In total, Azerbaijan has sent 107 trucks carrying more than 3.3 million meters of electric cables and wires, as well as 72 transformers and set of transformer rooms.
