World Governments Summit voices expectations from COP29

A panel meeting themed “SDGs in Action’” has been held today as part of the World Governments Summit in Dubai to discuss urgency in addressing the climate crisis. Nigar Arpadarai, COP29 High Level Climate Champion, touched upon this matter on her social media account.
The panel discussion saw participants sharing their views on the Sustainable Development Goals, with a special focus on the role of nuclear technology in climate change mitigation and adaptation.
Along with Nigar Arpadarai, the panel meeting was addressed by Rafael Mariano Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Ibrahim Al-Zu'bi, ADNOC Group Chief Sustainability Officer, and Parag Khanna, Founder and CEO of Climate Alpha.
